The Shamanic Journey

The Shamanic journey starts when we begin to live what we have grasped of the Great Plan.

Where do we start? Physically from where we are, however tempting it may be to wait until "the conditions are right," until we move to another place, until we get a new job, until we find more understanding, more congenial people, until... until...

... I am so sorry, but this post has been moved to my new website, Feathers and Bones, hosted at shirleytwofeathers.com and can be found in its entirety here: The Shamanic Journey

Thought for the Day - Starting the Journey

"Journeys start from where we are. Everything starts from where we are. Where we are is where we're supposed to be."

Morning Meditation - Ritual Cleansing

A woman shaman takes a ritual cleansing bath. She takes her time - focusing on what she is doing. I do not feel inclined to interrupt her. It's a silent space. I can hear the water and smell the fresh scent of trees and wet earth. It's early morning. Birds are singing. A sacred time.

Cleansing rituals are very important. That's what I hear, and that's what I see. And I wonder ... first the Snake Racers and now the Ritual Bath ... is there a ceremony or a healing ritual or SOMETHING I will soon be doing? Am I "Waiting For The Signal?"
